Laser gum depigmentation is a relatively recent procedure introduced to improve the aesthetics of gums. It can help correct pigmented areas of the gums that have been caused by smoking, surgery, or other reasons. I recently decided to undergo laser gum depigmentation after I noticed a discoloration developing around my teeth due to smoking. After consulting with my dentist, I felt confident that this was the right choice for me and that it would make a significant difference in my overall appearance.
The process itself went quite smoothly; my dentist used advanced laser technology to precisely target the affected areas on my gums and remove the excess pigment without damaging surrounding tissue or altering the natural color of my gums. The treatment took about an hour and was surprisingly painless – there was hardly any discomfort at all!
